This is the first time I write on this blog and this is to inform you that we have made an entry into the world of sports journalism, where our focus will be on a cricket match between Pakistan and England. Our journey with this series is not finished just yet, as we embark on the next chapter in this exciting journey of reporting from Karachi, and the dream to share these insights through this platform to educate you on the importance of sports and how it can save your life. For those who are new to us, and don’t know what it all means, let me explain some basic terms associated with sport and also give you a little more information about our team’s performance throughout this summer season, which has been very fruitful for my understanding of English cricket, whether it be playing against English or Pakistani players and having had great success. As mentioned earlier, we’ve also got some videos to show you on some matches from the past year, so take a look at them, you might like them too.

The game between Pakistan and England is played under Twenty 20 cricket, however, we have decided to break down the rules and explain the key factors that make this game unique from others and give you a glimpse behind the scenes of this thrilling sporting spectacle.

At the beginning of last year, we played two matches against each other and both were entertaining affairs. However, after that, with just around two months left before the end of the season, Pakistan and England concluded their respective tours by hosting two matches in Karachi, Pakistan. With over 3000 tourists, Pakistan and England are one of the most popular countries of tourism, therefore making the most of a chance to host such a major event like this, we were up for the contest to see who can win the battle for supremacy on the international stage.

On the 11th of November, Pakistan hosted England in a must-win encounter on the Wicketkeeper & Batting Competition (WKBC) Stage 2 at Sindh National Stadium with a total budget of $5,000. When the teams walked out on the pitch, they found themselves facing each other with only 5 overs remaining in the game, while a lead was being built toward victory.

Pakistan started off with a strong opening lineup that was full of confidence and positivity, but England kept up their pace and put boundaries in every ball, despite Pakistan’s efforts. To start with, Pakistan captain Babar Azam led the way and took his attack to England bowlers, scoring half a thousand runs in 6 overs before he bowled his second wicket of the day. Another player who did well on the night was Naseem Shah, he scored 42 runs with the help of 7 wickets in 4 overs, including 3 maidens before he eventually got out LBW for 29 runs.

England batsman Jos Buttler then got the ball to run towards BABAR, who couldn’t stop him from scoring his hundred and getting rid of the extra spinners. After doing quite okay in the powerplay, Jos Buttler got the ball to move across the bowling range, scoring 30runs before reaching his fifty and leading England home in style.

Pakistan and England would go back to normal pitches by the 15th of December when the match shifted from a traditional One-Day Cup to a four-day format, meaning the scoreline would increase to 160 runs per side in the chase. Both sides would start by taking the field in pairs and once play got underway, both teams were going for a win. The main reason why both teams went for the win was that we had won a lot of games against each other and we thought that if you want to get better you have to beat them, that’s basically what Pakistan and English fans wanted, hence, we pushed ourselves until the last ball, knowing there was no point in backing down. We still didn’t achieve what we wanted, but the final result proved otherwise, with the scorecard showing that South Africa won by 158 runs in 8.4 overs.

After such a high level of tension, it only seemed right to end them all by lifting a trophy again! There was nothing much to say between the two teams when the match ended, except for our fans, who cheered us all the way to victory, chanting “WE RULE THE ROOST” throughout the whole game. A few days later on the 21st of January, we hosted India in a must-win contest after almost a year and somehow managed to come out victorious – Pakistan! انہوں نے بتایا کہ روزانہ 100 سے 142 ملی گرام سبزیوں کے نائٹریٹس کھانے والے افراد میں نابینا ہونے کا خطرہ ایسے افراد کی نسبت بہت کم ہو جاتا ہے جو ایسی سبزیاں نہیں کھاتے۔
تحقیق کے مطابق 100 ملی گرام پالک میں 20 ملی گرام نائٹریٹ ہوتے ہیں جبکہ اسی مقدار کے چقندر میں 15 ملی گرام نائٹریٹس موجود ہوتے ہیں اسی لیے جو لوگ 142 ملی گرام نائٹریٹس سے زیادہ کھاتے جس کا انہیں اس کا کوئی فائدہ نہیں ہوتا۔

'سالگرہ مبارک ہو'

سرجری کے بعد لیسی کی طبیعت آہستہ آہستہ ٹھیک ہونی شروع ہو گئی۔ لیکن انھیں 13 برس کی عمر میں مزید سرجری کی ضرورت پڑے گی۔

فروری 2018 کو انھیں 111 دن تک ہسپتال میں زیر علاج رہنے کے بعد چھٹی ملی تھی۔

زاہد مختار جو بچوں کے امراض کے ماہر ہیں اسی ہسپتال میں کام کرتے ہیں نے کہا کہ انھیں آگے بھی ڈاکٹر سے مشورے اور علاج کے لیے آنا ہو گا لیکن ساتھ ہی روزمرہ کی نارمل روٹین کے مطابق زندگی گزارنی چاہیے اور یہ زبردست خبر ہے۔

اب یہ خاندان اپنے گھر میں لیسی اور پانچ سالہ بیٹے ایلفے کے ساتھ رہ رہے ہیں۔ لیسی کی والدہ کہتی ہیں کہ ہسپتال میں گزرے چار ماہ بہت مشکل تھے۔ جب وہ تین گھنٹے کا طوی سفر کر کے اسے دیکھنے کے لیے ہسپتال آتی تھیں لیکن انھیں یہ بھروسہ تھا کہ ان کی بیٹی محفوظ ہاتھوں میں ہے۔

'میری بیٹی آج اپنی پہلی ساگرہ نہ منا رہی ہوتی اگر وہ سینٹ جارج کے ہسپتال میں نہ ہوتی۔'

ہم جس لمحے یہاں آئے اس سے لے کر اب تک جو خیال رکھا گیا وہ غیر معمولی تھا اور میں اس میں کوئی بھی نقص نہیں نکال سکتی۔

کراچی میں قائم ایک سافٹ ویئر کمپنی نے حجاب کرنے والی ملازمہ کو نوکری سے نکال دیا۔ دوسری جانب ملازمہ کی جانب سے سوشل میڈیا پر پوسٹ کے بعد صارفین نے کپمنی کے اقدام پر سخت ردعمل کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے اسے امتیازی سلوک اور شخصی آزادی کی سراسر خلاف ورزی قرار دیا ہے۔

نوجوان لڑکی نے سوشل میڈیا پر اپنی پوسٹ میں لکھا ہے کہ سافٹ ویئر کمپنی Creative Chaos کے منیجر نے انہیں اپنے دفتر میں بلاکر کہا کہ آپ کے حجاب کے باعث کمپنی کا ’امیج خراب‘ ہورہا ہے۔ اگر آپ نوکری جاری رکھنا چاہتی ہیں تو حجاب ترک کرنا ہوگا۔

سوشل میڈیا پوسٹ کے مطابق لڑکی نے حجاب ترک کرنے سے انکار کردیا جس پر منیجر نے انہیں استعفیٰ دینے کا حکم دیا۔ جب لڑکی نے ان سے کہا کہ آپ حجاب یا نوکری چھوڑنے کا حکم کاغذ پر لکھ کر انہیں دے دیں، جس پر منیجر نے انکار کیا اور انہیں زبردستی استعفیٰ دینے پر مجبور کیا۔

متاثرہ لڑکی کا کہنا تھا کہ منیجر نے طنز کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ آپ کسی ’اسلامی بینک‘ میں اپلائی کریں۔

سوشل میڈیا پر بڑے پیمانے پر تنقید اور سخت ردعمل کے بعد کمپنی کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر جواد قادر نے ایک بیان جاری کرتے ہوئے منیجر کے اس عمل کو ’امتیازی سلوک اور شرمناک‘ قرار دیا ہے اور اس پر معذرت کا اظہار کیا ہے۔

سی ای او کی جانب سے جاری کردہ بیان کے مطابق ان سے ’بڑی غلطی‘ ہوگئی ہے اور وہ اس پر ’سخت شرمندہ‘ ہیں۔

جواد قادر نے کہا کہ متاثرہ لڑکی سے معذرت کرکے انہیں دوبارہ نوکری کی پیشکش کی ہے اور مذکورہ منیجر کو معطل کردیا ہے جبکہ معاملے کی شفاف انکوائری کرائی جائے گی۔

متاثرہ لڑکی کے مطابق جب منیجر نے انہیں استعفیٰ دینے پر مجبور کیا تو وہ اس معاملے پر بات کرنے کے لیے سی ای او جواد قادر کے پاس گئیں اور ان کو آگاہ کیا جس پر جواب قادر نے جواب دیا کہ ’ہم سے غلطی ہوگئی ہے۔ ہم اس طرح کے لوگوں کو نوکری پر نہیں رکھتے۔ داڑھی والے مولوی ٹائب لوگوں کو بھی ملازمت نہیں دی جاتی۔ اس طرح کے ملازمین کپمنی کا امیج خراب کرتے ہیں‘‘۔

دوسری جانب جواد قادر نے اپنے بیان میں صرف منیجر کو ہی قصور وار قرار دے کر خود کو کلین چٹ دیدی ہے۔

واٹس ایپ نے پیغامات ڈیلیٹ کرنے کے فیچر میں تبدیلی کردی

اسلام آباد)مانیٹرنگ ڈیسک( دنیا بھر میں پیغامات کی رسائی کی سب سے مشہور ایپلی کیشن واٹس ایپ نے پیغامات ڈیلیٹ کرنے کے فیچر میں تبدیلیکردی۔ واٹس ایپ نے اپنے سب سے کارآمد فیچر’ڈیلیٹ فار ایوری ون‘ میں تبدیلی متعارف کرادی ہے اور اب آپ اپنے بھیجے گئے پیغام کو 13 گھنٹے 8 منٹ 16 سیکینڈ کے اندر ڈیلیٹ کرسکتےہیں۔ اس حوالے سے ڈبلیو اے بیٹا انفو نے ایک ٹوئٹ کرتے ہوئے بتایا۔اگر آپ کوئی پیغام کو ڈیلیٹ فار ایوری ون کرتے ہیں لیکن پیغام وصول کرنیوالے کو 13 گھنٹے 8 منٹ 16 سیکینڈ میں منسوخی کی درخواستموصول نہیں ہوتی آپ کا پیغام ڈیلیٹ نہیں ہوگا۔ لہذا بعض صارفین کیلئے یہ ایک بری خبر بھیہو سکتی ہے کیوںکہ ان کے نزدیک وہ ایک پیغام کو بعد میں ڈیلیٹ کر سکتے تھے لیکن مقرر وقت گذرنے کے بعد اب وہ ایسا نہ کر سکیں گے۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ اگر پیغام وصول کرنیوالے کا موبائل فون بند ہو اور مقررہ وقت گزز جائے تو بعد میں آپ پیغام ڈیلیٹ نہیں کرسکتے۔ڈبلیو اے بیٹا انفو کے مطابق واٹس ایپ کی جانب سے ایسا اقدام ان صارفین کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے اٹھایا گیا ہے جو غلط فائدہ اٹھا کر ہفتوں، مہینوں اور برسوں بعد پیغامات کو منسوخ کرتے ہیں۔ خیال رہے کہ واٹس ایپ کی جانب سے یہ پیغامات کو ڈیلیٹ کرنے کا فیچر گزشتہ برس متعارف کرایا گیا تھا اور اس سے غلطی سے پیغام بھیجنے والوں کو کافی سہولت فراہم کی گئی تھی۔ تاہم اس فیچر کے آنے کے بعد اس فیچر کا غلط استعمال بھی کیا جارہا تھا، جس کو دیکھتے ہوئے کمپنی نے تبدیلی متعارفکروائی۔

بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کے لیے نائیکوپ کی شرط ختم

امیگریشن بیورو کیلئے نادرا کی تصدیقی عمل کی فیس 45 سے کم کرکے 10 روپے کردی گئی: فوٹو:فائلاسلام آباد: وزیراعظم عمران خان کی زیرصدارت ہونےوالے اجلاس میں نائیکوپ) بیرون ملک پاکستانیوں کو جاری کیا جانے والا کارڈ( کی شرط ختم کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق وزیراعظم عمران خان کیصدارت میں اعلیٰ سطح کا اجلاس ہوا۔ اجلاس میں معاون خصوصی زلفی بخاری، نادار ، ایف آئی اے اور وزارت ایچ آر ڈی کے حکام نے شرکت کی۔ اجلاس میں بیرون ملک پاکستانیوں کے نائیکوپ ختم کرتے ہوئے فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ بیرون ملک پاکستانی نائیکوپ کو آپشنل استعمال کرسکیں گے۔اجلاس میں فیصلہ کیا گیا کہ نادرا اور وزارتِ ہیومن ریسورس ڈویلپمنٹ کے درمیان ڈیٹا شیئرنگ کیلئے رابطہ رہے گا جب کہ  نادرا ور وزارت ایچ آر ڈی کے ساتھ  بیرون ملک پاکستانیوں کے ساتھ فیملی ٹری شیئر کرے گا اور ڈیٹا کو پیش نظر رکھ کر بیرون ملک پاکستانیوں کو صحت و تعلیم کی سہولیات فراہم کی جائیں گی۔امیگریشن بیورو کیلئے نادرا کی تصدیقی عمل کی فیس بھی 45 سے کم کرکے 10روپے کردیگئی ہے اور نادرا امیگریشن بیورو اور ایف آئی اے کے درمیان لنک قائم کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا۔اجلاس میں بیرون ملک سے رقوم کی ترسیل پر عائد ٹیکس ختم کرنے پربھی غور کیا گیا جس کے لئے وزیراعظم نے وزارت خزانہ اور ایف بی آر سے لائحہ عمل مانگ لیا۔اس موقع پر وزیراعظم عمران خان کا کہنا تھا کہ بیرون ملک پاکستانی ہمارا اثاثہ ہیں، بیرون ملکپاکستانیوں کی جائیدادوں پر قبضہ کرنے والوں کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کی جائے، صوبائی حکومتیں اور قانون نافذ کرنے والے ادارے بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کے اہل خانہ کی حفاظت کیلئے خاطرخوا اقدامات کریں۔

امریکہ کا ہتھیاروں کا سسٹم ’آسانی سے ہیک کیا جا سکتا ہے‘

مریکی حکومت کی ایک رپورٹ کے مطابق امریکی فوج کے جدید ترین ہتھیاروں میں سے چند کو ’بنیادی ٹولز‘ استعمال کر کے ’آسانی سے ہیک‘ کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

امریکی حکومت کے احتساب دفتر (جی اے او) نے سنہ 2012 سے 2017 کے درمیان تقریباً تمام ہتھیاروں کا معائینہ کیا جس کے بعد اسے معلوم ہوا کہ یہ ہتھیار سائیبر حملے کی زد میں ہیں اور یہ ’مشن بہت نازک‘ ہے۔

جی اے او کے مطابق ان میں جدید ترین ایف-35 جیٹ کے علاوہ میزائل سسٹم شامل ہیں۔

سینیٹ کی آرمڈ سروسز کمیٹی کو پیش کی جانے والی 50 صفحات پر مشتمل رپورٹ کے حوالے سے امریکی محکمہ دفاع پینٹاگون کے حکام نے فوری طور پر کوئی جواب نہیں دیا ہے۔

کمیٹی کے ارکان نے اس بات کا خدشہ ظاہر کیا کہ ہتھیاروں کے نظام کو سائبر حملوں کے خلاف کیسے محفوظ کیا گیا تھا؟

رپورٹ کے اہم نتائج کے مطابق

پینٹاگون نے ایک سے زیادہ ہتھیاروں کے نظام پر ڈیفالٹ پاس ورڈز تبدیل نہیں کیے جبکہ ایک تبدیل شدہ پاس ورڈ کا اندازہ صرف نو سیکینڈ میں لگایا گیا تھا۔

جی اے او کی جانب سے مقرر کی جانے والی ایک ٹیم نے ہتھیاروں کے ایک نظام کا کنٹرول آسانی سے حاصل کر لیا اور آپریٹروں کو ہیکروں کا جواب دیتے ہوئے دیکھا۔

دو افراد پر مشتمل ایک دوسری ٹیم کو ہتھیاروں کے نظام تک ابتدائی رسائی حاصل کرنے میں صرف ایک گھنٹہ لگا جبکہ مکمل رسائی تک پورا دن لگا۔

متعدد ٹیسٹ ٹیمیں ڈیٹا کو کاپی کرنے، تبدیل یا حذف کرنے کے قابل تھیں جبکہ ایک ٹیم 100 گیگا بائٹس کی معلومات کو ڈاؤن لوڈ کرتی ہے۔

جی اے او کا مزید کہنا ہے کہ پینٹاگون کو ’اپنے ہتھیاروں کے سسٹم کی کمزوری کا مکمل پیمانے پر پتہ نہیں تھا۔‘

سکیورٹی کمپنی پین ٹیسٹ پارٹنر کے ایک ماہر کین منرو کا کہنا ہے کہ انھیں اس تحقیق کے نتائج سے ’ذرا بھی حیرانی‘ نہیں ہوئی ہے۔

ان کے مطابق ’ہتھیاروں کا ایک نظام تیار کرنے میں طویل وقت لگتا ہے ان میں اکثر کی بنیاد زیادہ پرانے سسٹمز پر ہوتی ہے۔ اس کے نیتجے میں اس کے اجزا اور سافٹ ویئر بہت پرانے اور غیر محفوظ کوڈ پر مبنی ہو سکتے ہیں۔‘
